There are several methods for producing anticonjugate diphthalic acid in industry. The main source is to oxidize benzene (or butene) in the presence of a catalyst to form cis-butylene diphthalic acid (or cis-butylene diphthalic anhydride), and then undergo isomerization to obtain it. Benzene (or 80% butene) is oxidized with excess air in a fluidized bed or fixed bed reactor to form cis-butylene diphthalic anhydride, which is absorbed by the circulating acid solution to form cis-butylene diphthalic acid. Then, after decolorization and filtration, cis-butylene diphthalic acid undergoes isomerization under the action of thiourea catalyst. The reactants are filtered, washed, and dried to obtain anticonjugate diphthalic acid. The isomerization catalyst also uses ammonium persulfate - ammonium bromide mixture or metal salts, amine salts, thiol, and 10-20% hydrochloric acid. Carbohydrates such as sucrose, glucose, and maltose can also be fermented by black root fungi to produce anticonjugate diphthalic acid.

Products Application

It is mainly used in the processing of meat products and fish products. Fumaric acid can be used as an acid regulator, acidifier, antioxidant additive, pickling promoter, and flavoring agent. This product has a strong buffering effect to maintain the pH of the aqueous solution at around 3.0, and plays an important role in inhibiting bacteria and preventing mold. At the same time, it has a bitter taste and is one of the strongest solid acids in terms of sourness. It has a low absorption rate, which helps to extend the storage period of powder products and other items. When fumaric acid is converted to fumaric acid sodium, its water solubility and flavor are better.
