Potassium hydrogen tartrate is the acid salt of tartric acid. It is a by-product during wine production and is known in the food industry as tartar powder. It is usually a colorless to white orthorhombic crystalline powder, odorless, and has a pleasant refreshing sour taste.

Products Application

(1) Potassium tartrate is widely used in industries such as food, medicine, chemical engineering, and light industry. It is mainly used to produce tartrate salts, such as potassium stibatoxy tartrate and potassium tartrate sodium.
(3) In the food industry, it is used as a beer foaming agent, food acidifier, and flavor corrector. Its sourness is 1.3 times that of citric acid, and it is particularly suitable as an acidifier for grape juice. This product has been certified as an excellent food additive by the FAO/WHO expert committee.
(3) It also plays a very important role in industries such as tanning leather, photography, glass, enamelware, and telecommunications equipment.
(4) It is also used for the determination of bismuth, aluminum, and nickel, as well as the preparation of microbial culture media.
