1. It is an inhibitor of mold and yeast. A food preservative for preventing mold. A dry oil deforming agent. A bactericide.
2. Sorbic acid and sorbic acid potassium are the most widely used preservatives internationally. They have high antibacterial properties, inhibit the growth and reproduction of molds, and achieve the effect of inhibiting microbial growth and acting as a preservative by inhibiting the dehydrogenase system in microorganisms. They have inhibitory effects on molds, yeasts, and many aerobic bacteria, but are almost ineffective against anaerobic spore-forming bacteria and lactic acid bacteria. It is widely used for the preservation of various dairy products such as cheese, yogurt, bread and pastry products, beverages, fruit juices, jams, pickled vegetables and fish products.
